The Outside of our House
These pictures were taken the summer of 2008. Our house is definately a work in progress. But this is the place we call home. It has long been John's dream and desire to build a house. For me, I just want a finished house to live in. So this is a huge overcoming for me. Everyday is like being on a camping trip and roughing it out. But little by little the house is coming together. Maybe someday this will be a home.

I found this really neat Cowboy Woody outfit. Edward enjoys dressing up in it, and I simply can't resist taking pictures of my little boy playing dress-up. Enjoy the fun pics!

FIREPROOF
If you want to go see a good movie, check out Fireproof. It is a really good movie. I totally recommend it to anyone. It is a love story, but not your normal chick flick. It is about loving someone when you don't feel like it. Totally worth checking out. Go See It!

One Day in my Life

I thought it might be good to record what a day in my life is like. I think it is very easy to see our own lives as ordinary and nothing exciting; but to someone else it might be totally new and interesting. So just for fun I will bring you along with me today in my life.
My husband John, my son Edward, and myself live in a house in a very small town called Royal. The house is being built still and we are almost two rooms complete and one bathroom. When finished the house will be three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room, basement, and garauge. We are slowly getting there. Anyway this is just a side note.
A normal weekday for me starts at 6 a.m. I get up and get ready for my day. Depending on John's work schedule he is either still resting and will go to work soon or he is already there. Edward gets to sleep until it is time to leave for work. At 7 a.m. I load a sleeping Edward in the car and drive to work. I get to work about 45 minutes later. I unload Edward (who is now awake) from the car and we go into daycare. I start work as soon as I walk through the door. I usely try to get Edward dressed in day clothes and pottied as soon as I can. I also give four babies their bottles and about eight or so toddles their breakfast. My boss Andi drives the school age children to school. At about 8 a.m. Ruth shows up; and at about 8:15 she takes the toddles down stairs to the preschool/daycare part of the house. We have several toddler tiolet training right now, so they all get to take turns using the tiolet and earning their potty chart stickers plus a skittle. After the toddlers play for a bit, they get to do a preschool project.
Mean while, I remain up in the main level of the house. I take care of the babies mostly. I gat them fed and diapers changed and try to lay them down for a morning nap by 8:30 a.m. or 9 a.m. Once four of my little ones are napping, I do some cleaning and prepare the morning snack for the toddlers. At 9:30 a.m. another baby arrives and I take care of him. At about 10 a.m. the toddles have morning snack. At about 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. I wake up the babies from morning naps and give them bottles and some of them food. Three days a week, I run to pick up one of the school age little ones at 11:15 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. lunch is prepared. We try to serve lunch at noon.
Depending on weather, the toddles usely get to play out side a little before and/or after lunch. Once lunch time is finished, I start to lay down my babies for their afternoon naps. The most tired ones first. The toddles generally stay up until 1 p.m. I have one baby who gets picked up at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. The rest take their afternoon naps. This is one of my favorite times of the day. It is quiet and I can get thinks done at this time. I try to get in an hour lunch, but I must confess I use my lunch time as extra get things caught up time.
Andi usely starts out watching the toddlers during nap time. At 2 p.m. or so I go down stairs and keep watch over the napping toddles. Andi and Ruth take care of the babies up stairs and run to pick up kids from school (if needed). Onother toddler leaves at about 3:15 p.m. Between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. the rest of the little ones get up from nap. After tioleted and diapers changed, the little one get their afternoon snack. I usually put up the nap cots at this time. After everyone is up and going and snack is done, the little ones get to play - outside if it is nice or inside if needed. Between 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. the little ones are picked up. I usually get off from work at 4:45 p.m. I let Edward stay and play until about 5 p.m. and then we head home. I run errands if needed at this time. But usually I head stay home.
John, Edward and I eat dinner and spend a quiet evening together. Sometimes we have work that needs to be done; other times we just rest.
At about 8:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. we usely go to bed. Edward generally protest this, but we eventual do get to sleep. Then the whole day starts over the next day.
On Saturday, I try to sleep in and keep the day open for family time and rest. Sunday we go to church and visit with the rest of my family and friends. Then the week begins again.

Meet Katherine Joy Custer!
Katherine Joy was born to Sarah and her husband David (Custer) on February 4th at 4:53 pm. Katherine weighed in at 5 lb, 7 oz and was 19 inches long. Mother and baby are doing well. Baby was born with the cord around her neck and her oxygen has been being monitored. Please pray for no complications. We are believing that she is more than fine.
